Frequently Asked Questions

Vintage Oval Division-SUPER STOCK

Q           Can a tank be replaced with a smaller after market tank in the super stock class?

A           All super stock sleds must retain original stock appearance. So a little small Wahl tank would not be allowed. Now the reason it was written that way is there are several people remaking many fuel tanks to original specs and some call them aftermarket. Wahl carries some of these tanks also. The Ski-Doo 245 RV,  Ski-Doo Sno-Pro tanks, Polaris tanks, and maybe others. But the little tiny Mod tanks are not allowed in super stock.  Again the sled must retain its original appearance.

Q      Can a 340 Fan cooled sled run in the Super Stock Class?

A       Yes, the 340 fan cooled sled can run in both Super Stock and Liquid classes. Read the rules for further clarification.

Q      Can the OEM stock exhaust be altered from production state.

A       No. The Super Stock class must use stock exhaust for the model.

Classes

Q      PVR has too many classes?

A      PVR has a list of classes that have defined rules, We do not always run each of these classes at a race. If a class has less then three drivers it will be canceled. The drivers are offered an option to move into a different class if available. Our Class running order has stayed the same for the last few years because it has the least amount of back to back drivers with this order.

Ignition and Electronics

Q       Are ignition systems with dip switches allowed?

A       No. These types of ignition switches are considered programmable.  If a Ignition can be altered via switches, dip switches or computer programmed at the race track they will not be allowed. Review Page 2 Vintage Oval division section of the PVR rules.
